In April of 2007, Carly told Jack that he always has been and always will be the only guy for her.  Since they had become closer, Carly was hoping maybe there would be another chance for them.  Jack thought perhaps she had selective memory and questioned Carly about some of those men and what they meant to her.  Here is how Carly responded:

Mike Kasnoff

Jack didn't ask about Mike because their relationship was prior to Jack becoming part of Carly's life.  When Carly arrived in Oakdale she wanted part of what her sister Rosanna had and part of that was Mike.  Though they shared a daughter Nora that sadly Carly miscarried, they were never really a couple.  And the one night stand that Carly and Mike shared years later was simply that, a one night stand when Jack called off the wedding and Carly thought things were over for good with Jack.

Hal Munson

MONEY!

Carly admitted she married Hal for the money.  Carly was trying to meet the terms Rosanna had set and she had a limit on when she had to have a baby and be married to the baby's father, who had to be anyone but Mike, in order to get $50 million.  Carly cared for Hal but didn't love him. She had already fallen for Jack Snyder but he was injured and unfortunately couldn't get her pregnant in time to meet the deadline.  Yet Carly wasn't able to just forget Jack.  With the deadline nearing, Carly got help from John Dixon with artificial insemination, and married  him when she was sure he was actually the baby's father.  Even Jack knew she never loved John and the marriage wasn't real.

Brad Snyder

MONEY!

She didn't marry Brad to get his money but rather to keep hers! Brad blackmailed Carly into marriage.  Brad learned the truth that the paternity tests had been switched for Parker and that Hal was really his father.  Since Carly wasn't married to Hal, the trust fund would disappear so Carly married Brad to keep him quiet and had to give him money on top of it!  Brad had hoped in time he could win Carly's heart but her heart and eyes still were only focused on Jack.  When Brad failed to win Carly for himself, he exposed the truth of Parker's paternity and caused Carly to lose everything.

Winston Lowe

KIDNAPPED!

Carly first met Winston Lowe when she was in Hong Kong following the death of Nora and running her clothing line Get Real! Carly was falsely imprisoned and Winston came to her rescue to get her out under the condition she would marry him.  Carly had wrongly been informed by an attorney that their marriage was over when she returned to the U.S.  When she was to finally marry Jack, Carly started receiving threats to Jack and Parker and was kidnapped by Winston's men on her wedding day.  Back in Hong Kong where she was held captive, she met Craig Montgomery prior to Winston's death and her escape back to Oakdale.

Craig was the one person to befriend Carly when she returned from Hong Kong but he also held something over her which was that she could be accused in Winston's death and so he use Carly with the threat that he could turn her in for that.  Craig really fell for Carly and while Carly was attracted to him and had a hard time staying away she knew her heart was still very much with Jack.  Craig also helped Carly with her design career but every time just as it looked like things would work out, he managed to ruin it all.  Carly eventually reunited with Jack and Craig found happiness temporarily with Rosanna.  Carly and Craig remained friends until Craig hurt Rosanna. 

Simon Frasier

JACK'S FAULT!

Simon came to town the summer of 2006 when Carly was trying to start over after Jack left her.  Simon helped Carly out and get her design business going when nobody else would.  However Simon took shortcuts and ended up using a loan shark.  Not confident he could complete the project in time, Simon resorted to his old ways and committed a jewel heist to get the money.  He convinced Carly to help by making her think the lives of her and her children were in danger.  Thanks to a determined Katie Peretti Kasnoff, who was trying to prove she was over Simon, the truth was disclosed and Carly and Simon had to flee the country.  Carly blamed this relationship on Jack because she said she went mad when he left her and did the one thing he thought she would never do which was leave her children.

Holden Snyder

Jack didn't ask about Holden, since the affair hadn't happened when Carly explained her other romances.  My guess is Carly would blame this on Jack also.  And Carly did say that it was nice to have somebody that found her desirable which she didn't think Jack did anymore.  Carly and Jack had been rebuilding their relationship, leaving Carly optimistic about the future.  Then one night Jack started to make love to Carly.  She cautioned him not to do it if he didn't mean it yet he continued.  The next day however he said it was a mistake and nothing had changed.  Carly was destroyed!  She turned to her best friend Lily, but Lily soon left town and Carly found a friend in Holden who was also unsure if he would be able to repair him marriage with Lily.  It started as friends and then became lovers.  Once the truth was out a lot of damage was done.   Holden can't seem to decided what he wants and Carly is realizing maybe there really wasn't anything there a  along.

CARLY'S TRUE LOVE!

So that brings us back to Jack.  Carly said he's always the only guy for her and always will be the only guy for her.  Their relationship has certainly had a lot of highs and lows.  Right now they seem to be mending their friendship on most days although they can still set each other off.  Yet that attraction surfaces from time to time and Jack has assured her that she is very desirable and can still drive a man crazy in the best way.

Carly and Jack keep getting drawn back together because of the kids and when the chips are down they work together as a team.  The both appear to have moved on in their lives, but have they?  Carly put it best last spring when she said "It's fate. You know it. And I know it. No matter where we are, or who we're with, it's -- it's always just a matter of time before we're together again, Jack. It's our history. It's who we are. And you can't deny that, Jack. No matter how hard you try."
